Numerology 101

Numerology is a study of numbers in your life. Introduced by Pythagoras, he believed that everything in the world was made up of codes. Those mathematical codes break down into one element: numbers.

Those numbers provide reason and order to what can be seen as the chaos and unpredictable life. These numbers can provide us with insight to our personalities and our life paths.

So how do you do it? Pythagoras gave each letter of the alphabet a numerical value (chart above). To learn more about your name, you would add up each number that corresponds to the letter of your name.

When you add up all these numbers, you get one final number. Adding the digits of this final number together (for example 21 is 2+1, so 3) you get a single digit that will give you insight to your personality.

Besides the numbers 1 through 9, Pythagoras considered the numbers 11 and 22 to be master numbers that represent karmic actions that can determine intuitive gifts and being able to manifest your dreams into reality.
